My love of cake is well-documented, rivalled only by my daughter’s love of cake. I think I definitely passed on the cake-loving gene, as displayed in this clip from Lily’s 2nd birthday party. It must have been quite a cake to withstand her attempts to grab it!
She was a very cute angel-fairy-cherub then, but she’s even sweeter these days. Tonight on the phone, she said she loved me, and I said ‘If you love me, everything is right with my world’.
She said ‘Well then everything will always be right with your world, ’cause I’ll always love you.’

Definitely a cake cute-ing ceremony.
Yes. She’s much sweeter than that cake could ever have been! ❤️
I won’t repeat that they grow too fast, but…
And I made the worst looking birthday cake yesterday. It was for me, thankfully.
Well I hope you enjoyed it anyway!
